Wanted-Dual Slot 1 P3 Board running 133FSB

Hey all,

I just bought a P3 800 FC-PGA. I intend to purchase sloket for the chip so i can run it side by side with current 800. The problem is that I'm having trouble finding a good P3 board that supports dual processors and a 133 FSB in a Slot 1 config. I've pretty much gathered that I will need to purchase a VIA 133a board, but if anyone could suggest a good one based on price and stability it would be a great help 🙂. Thanks in advance.

Sure, intel's got a couple of those.. it's i840.. if you want stability, if you want price, get a via, it's slower but it might work well.. There is no good dual 133 solution, via would never run as fast.

Epox supposely had a i815e dual coming out.. though i815 doesn't support SMP.. they may have some trick..

Don't the chipsets that you just mentioned run the socket 370 chips? If so, I need slot 1 not socket based. Only reason I ask is that I currently have a intel i815 motherboard and it's socket 370 not slot 1. Correct me if I'm worng.

Intel is killing off slot one.. you're kinda stuck till abit decides to make a dual slot 1 133 board..
