The most amusing thing I find about pundits in Washington and now commentators all over the country (professional or not) is that they all have the same story about Howard Dean and his followers: "They like him because he's angry". Well Dennis Kucinich was mighty angry at one time (the infamous "Where are the weapons of mass destruction????" line). Dick Gephardt always spouts off about Bush being a miserable failure, and has even launched the miserablefailure.com website. Al Sharpton is an indignant as any of them during the debates. But none of them are as popular nationally as Dean is, so anger can't be all it.

I also don't know why this author is suggesting detailed policy discussions 9 months away from the general election. All 9 candidates have presented detailed plans in their speeches and published on their websites. Of course, those haven't been covered much in the media, and don't excite people as much. But they exist, and to claim that they don't is a complete falsehood. Furthermore, specific plans exist to get out of Iraq and for energy policy, which the author directly claims don't exist or simply brushes off. Again, just because the media doesn't report on such plans doesn't mean they don't exist.
