i've spent the past few days reading posts on new systems, and what many of you have put together seem pretty impressive, but still a bit too rich for my blood at the moment. i would like to bump up from my current rig though.
at the moment i've got....
AMD 1700+
1GB memory
GeForce FX 5200
Hauppauge PVR-250
Audigy 2ZS
DVD burner (brand?)
Antec case
i'm looking to upgrade my board, processor, memory, video card, and case. it's important that i have a quiet rig since it's in my room and on 24/7. i also don't intend on OCing this new rig. at the moment i'm looking at the Athlon 64 3200 939 processor. perhaps you can suggest some good combinations of hardware. i know the NF4 boards are the hot topic now, but too much at the moment. i'm likely looking at NF3. it would be nice to finally play Doom3. i bought it and tried to play it on my current system. LOL. i was getting killed before i even saw the damn creature!
