I have a slim drive DVD burner hanging around and I want to use it on my current ATX case.
Is there an adapter out there that I can slip the burner into and mount it on my ATX case with IDE connector.
Where can I get it and how do they call such hardware?
Thanks.

Easy to find the connector adapter but not the physical bay adapter.

Google for "Scythe Kama Panel"........It's a 5.25" bay device that holds a laptop optical drive, as well as a card reader, fan controller, a bunch of ports, etc. It comes with a big box of cables, as well as the adapter for the optical drive (they're not all the same however).

I bought two black units from NewEgg a few months ago....about $35 ea.

Here's one mounted vertical in a SFF I made. It uses a slot DVD..... Link.

For $35. the OP could buy a standard burner and keep the change. I'm sure that wasn't the idea. Now if s/he needs the other stuff...

New info! The Kama Panel 4 looks the same as the one that goes under the Logisys/Sunbeam/etc. names, so the same should go for them. Take the extra 4 fan controls out, put slim drive in. .bh.
