Like the title says, my current car is a 95' Monte Carlo Z34...
Car is in decent shape, but has some rough spots. Some peeling on the paint, and a few marks from little scrapes against objects, nothing larger than a few inches though. Car would resell for $1500-2000 probably. It has 152,000 miles on it. Transmission still shifts pretty damn smoothly. Engine idles rough but hasn't given me any issues.
I was thinking the car would look pretty sweet with 22" rims and a custom paint job with matching custom leather interior. Maybe throw in a 1000-1500w RMS sound system and was even thinking of a custom roof mounted laptop idea for navigation, internet access, and DVD movies. (probably a 12.1 inch with some sort of wireless setup). I am a pretty adept deal finder, so I am thinking I could get this all done for a decent price, but I havn't done any heavy research yet. The advantage would be it would look unique - you would know who I am by the car immediately.
Cars I am looking into if I bought a new car would be a 02' and later civic coupe (yea kinda ordinary but I just like how they look). I also love the Acura NSX (early 90's). For the money it has quite a "wow" factor. Anything else I should be at for around 10k? Yes I know the NSX would be more like 20k on a GOOD day so that will probably remain a dream for the time being.
And again, the main thing I am looking for is uniqueness and wow factor for the money. I don't want to just be another dude with another average car.
