I'm checking out memory for my soon to arrive Inspiron 7000 lappie, and it's actually like $3 cheaper to get a 128MB stick right from Dell rather than Crucial. This may sound like a stupid question, but is there any reason I should get the memory from Crucial rather than Dell? Does Dell memory suck?

no but crucial is high end good stuff... if it is cheaper from dell first you know they will give you support and second it will probably be closer to what you already have in the machine and i am all for matching memory... (few probs... i think)
it is all up to you tho... (i bet if you search you can find it even cheaper... i just like crucial tho... bought some for a laptop the other day and install w/o/ any hitches...)
basically it is your call

Ordered 256MB Kingston from Dell for $32.36 after shipping ($4 for shipping...worst deal at Dell...hehe, can't believe they charge $4 for shipping something as small as a DIMM of RAM). Anyways, thought $28.32 was a pretty darn good price for 256MB RAM...unless of course Kingston RAM sucks..in which case I hope someone clues me in real quick so I can cancel before they ship!!! hehe....Thanks for all the iput!!!
