Anyone interested in starting from scratch? Or is in a guild that is friendly to very experienced players just getting back into the game?

Yeah I made 2 characters since I started playing again a month and a half ago one is a 61 and one is a 35 already, and I still play my 70 as well from time to time.

Yeah - but getting Verigan's Fist all by myself is a pretty daunting task.

I soloed everything but the deadmines part at 23. I was holy spec though and it was back when the game first came out.

Why is it faster? Just because so much more (ie shortcuts) are known now? I was thinking about playing again at some point more casually (was in a hardcore raid guild but quit shortly after Naxx was released publicly then played again for a few weeks when BC came out) so I really wouldn't have to do much leveling as I've already got a 70 and a few 60's, but I might want a low level alt to fool around with.

I started playing a month ago using an old trial account that had a level 8 priest. As of last night I officially made level 17. Of course the holidays were mixed in there so I spent about 2 weeks not playing. I really wish there were more low level groups because soloing just gets boring after awhile. I had a couple friend who started characters with me but they leveled up a lot faster than I did and now I'm just lonely.

A friend and myself started up on Earthen Ring about a month and a half or so ago. We hit 42 last night. We transferred our 60's over as well and they're 65 now. We really want to raid (albeit not hardcore) but we kind of have a low tolerance for idiots, so we end up leaving every guild we join. If *anyone* has any suggestions, or wants to roll on Earthen Ring and start up a new guild :p, let me know.

Edit: Forgot to mention, we're both vets to the game, been playing since beta phase 1. We know the game inside and out and have multiple 70's. So we aren't just being arrogant asses :)

XP required to level has been reduced by 15% (levels 20-60) and quest xp rewards have been increased by as much as 60%+ for levels 30-60. 60-70 is still slow though so watch out for that.

In addition to that, most lvl 1-60 quests which once required a group can now be soloed. In most cases, this is because they took away the "elite" status of mob(s) you needed to kill in order to complete the quests.

Yea its definitely faster, I started back up again 3-4 weeks ago, now with 6 days played i'm 56. Shadow priest ftw. I have taken a lot of time to work on profs so thats not the fastest leveling ever, but its still good I think.

I know it really takes all the fun out of leveling/gearing but if you just want a high level again, just do quests all the way up to 70. I even skipped the low/mid 60 instances because all the gear you get is soon replaceable anyway.
