I already have a 4 port belkin vga/ps2 kvm switch... but the mouse I use is a MS intellimouse optical and all the neat buttons dont work if I use the ps2 adapter and plug it in the kvm. so I dont share the mouse with the other computer on the kvm switch, my linux file server. it has its own ps2 mouse. currently using the belkin kvm to share the keyboard and monitor between my XP workstation and linux server.
i will be adding a mac g3 running OS X, and it does not play with ps2 peripherals.. so it will have its own usb keyboard, and get its vid from the belkin kvm. but i would like to share the intellimouse with the XP box and mac. i looked on pricewatch and the cheapest one was like 65 bux for a 2-port. :Q does there exist a usb-only km(-video) switch that will share just the mouse/keyboard that would be cheaper? or some kind of usb mouse switcher device?
