Want to sell my Pentium 4 CPU on ebay... how would you go about packing it?

I lost the box that came with the CPU. Do you guys have any ideas on how i would pack it so it wouldn't get destroyed in the shipping process? Thanks 🙂

i always seem to have little things that other people ship cpu's in sitting around. let's see...you could bundle it with a motherboard and put it in that.

alternatively, you could get some of that soft foam stuff that they put motherboards on, cut out a piece big enough to sandwich around the processor (enough to totally envelop it), then wrap that in bubble wrap. that's pretty much how my oem brisbane cpu arrived from the egg lol.

The last time I shipped one I found a container of paperclips from Staples that was stiff plastic, roughly square and the same dimensions as a P4 cpu. I emptied it out, put the CPU in the plastic and packed the extra space with newspaper in order to secure it. I didn't get any complaints from the eBay buyer. This kind of thing would cost you a dollar or two, and I guess then you have some paperclips to play with.
