That's not too strange honestly. Most musicians don't care too strongly about file-sharing because their profit is seperate (concerts/etc. opposed to CD sales).
Actors are paid by the studio and then they have nothing to gain from how many tapes/DVDs the movie has sold.
Unless it was a contract where he was paid depending on how many copies of it were sold, which isn't too likely from what I understand.
