want to revamp an old pc

I have an old AMD xp-2800+ and im thinking of re-vamping it to become like a workstation or firewall. how can i make it become a firewall? if not ill just make it so that its a little workstation/mild gaming

You'll probably want something like M0n0wall. http://www.m0n0.ch/wall/ Now, I'll note that an xp-2800+ is massive, massive overkill for most firewall applications. It'll work, certainly; but it's a lot of hardware for the task.
