Hi everyone, I've owned 3 Logitech G500 mice, and while they are very well designed and sturdy. I'm tired of the hyper-sensativity of the LASER. I want to find something with a smoother feel. All the research I've done on Optical mice makes me believe they are both smoother and more accurate.

That, and my G500 buttons are missing clicks in all my FPS games now. Does anyone have any good ideas for a nice Optical Gaming Mouse - I'd be willing to spend up to $150.00 if the mouse comes highly recommended with very good reviews. ;)

Any suggestions? :D Thanks for your time.

I went from a G500 mouse to a Logitech G400s optical. It was cheaper than the G500 new and I ended up recouping almost all of the cost for the G400s after reselling the G500. I noticed a slight increase in performance (precision in BF4)and it is very smooth and comfortable. It is a little bit ugly though:awe:.

If you like tilt wheels, try the G502. I'm liking the G402 better than the G400 (not S, but non-snapping), since they went back to a rubbery coating on the sides.

More accurate is debatable, but smoother, yes, and a laser mouse w/o an accelerometer will be twitchy about lift-off on some surfaces (what they are, and at what DPI settings, will vary by mouse). Optical on cloth just feels right, IMO.
