i have an old memorex drive at home. its Memorex CRW-2642.
It hasnt worked for the llast 2 years....infact come to think of it, it never worked.
-it shows up in windows explorer. . .only thing is it doesnt read any cd's.
-it is detected in the BIOS.
-no driver issues.
-i even updated its firmware. still no change.
was wondering if i could open it up and try to fix something. willing to try ANYTHING.
any sites that will tell me the inside workings of a cdrw is also appreciated.
