i have a win98se and linux dual boot managed with lilo. how can i get rid of linux and lilo and recover all of the hd space that was allocated to these?

format the linux partition...and then boot up using a boot disk and run the command

formart /MBR

that will get rid of lilo

Yeah the /sbin/lilo -u will uninstall it as well.

Now, what I can't remember is whether or not Linux's fdisk will change partition info non-destructively. I think it does, but I'm not sure.

If you want to combine it all into one partition you're going to need something like Partition Magic.

How is the Win2k Boot loader removed from a Win98/Win2k system? I just want to go back to only my Win98 setup and it installed the boot loader onto my C driver (Win98 partition).

But wont the "fdisk /mbr" mess up the booting of your other partitions? just a thought, i would hate for you to lose everything.
