Do you have a good video card Supercharged? If so, a simple TV card will suffice. If your video card is not up to par in your opinion, an ATI AIW card will make you :)

edit: Video ;)

Leadtek TV2000XP Expert-~$50 at newegg.

Or, if software encoding doesn't tickle your fancy, try the Hauppage PVR-150.

Something along the lines of a hauppauge pvr model which has hardware encording and maybe BeyondTV if you want Tivo type functions.

The Hauppage 250 is a really nice card for doing that. It's got hardware encoding so it's not going to take up as much CPU power as something like a Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP would. It's also got really nice picture quality. Or if you want something that can record HD you could get one of the MyHD cards or maybe the Fusion HDTV III.

Only buy Hauppauge!!!

I have an ATI TV Wonder Pro, it's horrid. Bad software, software encoding for the card...just don't buy it.

Hauppauge -- buy either the USB2 PVR, the 250, or the 350. I think the 350 just adds FM radio. The 250 is a good balance for a PCI card. Then match it up with some good PVR software such as SageTV or BeyondTV. You can also throw in a good remote such as the Firefly remote or an ATI Remote Wonder.

Hmm.... so it's between the Hauppauge 250 and 350. Are you sure the only difference between the two is FM radio?

I have a tuner card. Any user reviews of TitanTV? Should I sign up?

I may look into buying one soon too, but since I've shut my current operation down I have no need to, especially when I need the money for so many other things.

Just bought the 350. Here's why: It allows for playback of recorded shows to TV. That way I can completely get rid of my VCR. Pretty cool.
