I think you didn't read the thread through. His stock alternator is working properly, it is just getting overwhelmed at times by his stereo system. He was looking for a higher output than stock unit from someone who specializes in alternator upgrades, not looking at getting a parts store replacement.

I'm sure Napa's alternators are fine, but that is not the issue here. All Napa would give him is a rebuilt stock one with the same output.

Hello again guys. Tom from Mr. Alternator e-mailed me back with a quote for a 200A alternator. It's going to run $225 and is a direct replacement. I am hoping when the cap goes on this yellowtop it will fix the dimming (yep I know it won't). Keep an eye out this evening ;)
