want to install windows vista home version plz help

hi
i have two os in my pc -xp and linux ......now i want to uninstall xp and want to install
vista home version....
but i have a deep fear that it might make slow my pc or might hamper it in other ways.........................
am i right or wrong?
plz advise me............

Vista won't affect your PC's hardware but it's impossible to tell if Vista will run slow without knowing what hardware you have. And installing Vista will overwrite your MBR and likely render your Linux partition unbootable so you should make sure you have a LiveCD handy so that you can fix that.
