Hi,

i accidentally removed "PCHEALTH" from windows xp pro..
i believe it is the essential part for the "system restore" program.,

how can i get it back?

thanks

how did i do it?

i uninstalled it using TuneUP2004.

keysersoze, yes, i installed the files back, but now, when i select "help and search", it says i've turned off some system services..

recently i've turned off so many system services., i forgot which one..
can u help?

you will be chasing that tail for a long time !

do a repair install and chose the second option and say yes to keep all files and settings, then leave XP alone

You have the default services listed in the management console in services under Help Topics, Contents, Services, Concepts, Default settings for services. You can manually change them back.

For help configuring services go to Black Viper for the default registry settings for the services "zipped" and available for download if you're running sp1. If you're running sp2 he's got the default service settings listed there as well and you can manually change them back.
