I have AMD k5 PR133 (@166) with Abit sm5a. SiSoftSandra says I have 1 Mb video memory and need a minimum of 4Mb. So what do I do? Get a new video card? If so, which one? I mainly use internet, not games...Or is there a way of upgrading the video card I have? Thanks for any help. Cheap is good.

depending on the video card you have, which is probably discontinued and not supported anymore, you might still be able to purchase video ram for it, but since these are proprietary and card specific, prices will be very high

all you need is a good 2D graphics card for internet that supports relatively high refresh rates at decent resolutions for eye comfort

Since u have an old system, you can probably find some used stuff for cheap in the For Sale/For Trade Forum or new old ones on pricewatch.com.

I can't reccommend anything because it depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.

Definately get a new Graphics card.

For your needs, an 4-8MB card would be more than adequate.

You will have to hunt around since you will need a PCI version rather than AGP (your board won't have an AGP slot).

Follow AC's advice, have a look in the trade section, if no luck there, hunt around on the net.
