want to go paintballing for first time in los angeles

this weekend i want to go paintballing with a girl i know. Can you go whenever you want? Can you rent stuff at the paintball coarses? How much would it cost? Anyone know any places in L.A. I can go to?

i don't know any places in LA, but to answer your questions

-yes, you can go whenever you want (granted that the field is open that day). games are usually 15 minutes long and are held several times throughout the day. depending on the place, they may have multiple games playing on different fields simultaneously

-again, it depends on the place, but more likely than not you will be able to rent all necessary gear

-also depends on the place. but rental packages usually run at a minimum of $25 for gear. paint is extra. for your first time, count on using about 750 rounds per 5 hours of play. depending on the location (and the type of paint they carry) you're looking at anywhere between $20-$50 for paint. (these are per persion estimates)

Heh... I'm going paintballing for the first time next week as well.

The difference is that I am doing it with my ROTC class. We are getting all geared up, issued paintball guns, and flown in on choppers (about 50 of us) to attack a fortified hill hill.

Should be a fun first paintballing experience

We do some fun stuff.

Just a couple of weeks ago we went up to Camp Rilea near Astoria, Oregon. We got issued MILES gear (basically straps you put on that have targets that can be shot with a laser). Then, each person got issued a M4 that shoots a laser. Also, we were issued blanks so it sounded real.

We then had squad on squad battles. In the forrest, down trails, and we even stormed buildings.

Much fun, though it was very exhausting. 20 hour days with about 4 hours of sleep.

we had miles gear in boot camp we used it on a mission where we went to a made up city with many buildings and we did squad missions w/ blanks. it was cool. we only got to use it for about an hour.
