Want to get started with BT, which do I begin with?

I've been thinking of getting into the bittorrent scene for a couple of weeks now, but I don't know where to start. I know how the whole system works, but I know nothing about the many programs you can use. Can someone point me to a good beginner prog so that I can get started with it?

And I'm sure this has been posted before, but I don't feel like searching. Bite me.

Just checked for this on download.com, and it says it contains adware. Is there a version of this out there without ad/spyware?

You download torrents for azureus, as with any BT program (if you don't know). There was a thread having a few sites that list some torrent sites to get these. They are basically an address to the release source and once connected to that source, can begin looking/downloading from people who have part or the entire file/folder.
