Want to get a new credit card

What's a good one to get? I was thinking about the CitiBank Diamond Preferred with the rewards. Just wondering how CitiBank is in dealing with. I seldom carry a balance of more than a few hundred and have Capital One right now.

Anything better out there?

Just a quick question. Does it hurt your credit rating to apply for a card, get the quick reward (say $100 gift card), and then cancel in a month or so? My credit is otherwise stellar (780) and I wouldn't want to ruin it for something stupid like that.

chase is offering a double bonus on certain cards through the end of the year.

And it shouldn't affect your credit rating if you apply for a card, get the reward, then cancel.

but applying for credit cards requires a credit check, and too many too quickly can look bad on your record.
