Want to do mousepad LED mod and need advice.

I want to put a piece of plexiglass under my mousepad with LEDs in it, but I am not sure what I would hook the LEDs up to for power. Anyone have any suggestions? Any articles or guides on it?

Also, I wanted to make the plexiglass like a holder for my mousepad, that way it just sits in the plexiglass and can be taken out (kind of hard to explain what I mean). I want the top of the plexiglass to be flush with the top of the mouse pad. What would be the easiest way to do this? It seems like it would be nearly impossible to take a solid sheet of plexiglass that is 1/4" thick, and make just the middle of it 1/8" thick but leave the outside edges 1/4".

Thanks a bundle. That guide should help. Unfortunatly, I am not very smart as far as the soldering the LED to the molex and all goes. Any guides on that? And after he did get the LEDs on the molex, where did he plug it in to? I hope he didn't connect it to his computer PSU. Are there external power supplies that could be used for this?

EDIT: Found a good guide here also. Now I just need to figure out how to do the thing I was talking about where my curretn mousepad sits inside the plexiglass. Any ideas?

I have been informed by a friend that there is an existing type of sealant used to connect pieces of plexiglass and it dries clear. Has anyone heard of this and know what it is and where I can get it?
