Hi,
I want to create a wireless network in my house to do the following tasks -
(for mobile, ipad, TV, PC, Laptop, etc)
1. For printer sharing (I have a USB non-wifi HP printer)
2. Storage sharing (What to buy, ext hard drive or NAS)
3. Internet connectivity (Using ADSL as input, that is router with modem will be needed)

How to do that?
What hardwares are needed?
Any other solutions possible?
...........
Another question is -
I have a non-wifi Sony Bravia TV. If I have a storage on network, how to access and play the media files in the storage?

Thanx

The answers to your questions are beyond the scope of Online forum since it will take a Book length typing to answer them.

Best thing is to do some basic reading and then ask focused questions.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2375210,00.asp

http://www.techradar.com/us/news/networking/how-to-build-the-ultimate-home-media-network-919615

Be advised that the Hardware mentioned in the pages above are probably sponsored ads..

So the "trick" is to understand the principles and then focus here on the hardware.

As an example if you ask here what Central Wireless Router to buy the answer will probably be this - http://www.amazon.com/RT-N66U-Dual-B...d_sim_sbs_pc_1

Or if you have a TV without WIFI you probably want to buy this - http://www.roku.com/products/compare

Hey sorry for replying late.
....
I have some questions--
1) The DLNA feature shares the file data or the video data ?
2) Since the posts you have mentioned are old, what if i buy a seagate CENTRAL instead of a nas! Will it connect to the router and give access to files. Because except tv all devices can play the content on their own .. and for tv I can have the ROKU.
3) And I want my printer wireless no comments on that on your links ? Do todays router that support printer sharing will do the work ?

Yeah, Seagate central is a Wireless HD storage that connects to the Wireless Router and the Computers (Wire or Wireless) can connect to it.

Speed of transfer might be a challenge. So investigate if it is OK with your way of use.

As for DLNA - http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/005389en

I can Not give you any more specific since I use a Computer as My central Server/Storage.

Any printer that has Wireless can be connected to a Wireless Router and all Network print capable devices can use it.

Thanx..
But since I have no issue of electricity, and if i connect a hard disk connected to my PC and run the pc for 24 hours(or acc. to need). And make the drive available on a network?
And then access the storage on my devices. Coz it will be cheaper!
So for this I want a third party software or special router or i have to buy a small wireless adapter for my PC ???
Can this work ?
