My phones are pretty old and the batteries are starting to wear out. I want to update to something newer but not sure I can find what I'm looking for.

I would like the following features:

1. Cordless
2. One unit needs to be wall mounted in kitchen (not the main unit - that will be in another room)
3. No answering machine - we have voice mail
4. Atleast 3 handsets
5. Dect 6.0

I went to best buy and pretty much all of the bases that can be wall mounted are the mains. I get my phone connection in the bed room and then all of the other units connect to that one. There is no outlet in the kitchen and I don't plan on putting one in there. We do not want to put the base on the counter - rather have it on the wall.

If anyone can recommend something with the above features then please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a bit curious too since I don't have a landline. Would make things more convenient for the wife and I.

Wooters disagree, and you've provided no reasons as to why.

How should I prove it? I've used them at work and the range is barely 30ft in the open. I've gone through 3 sets of the phone just from normal wear and tear of using it everyday in a year period. The battery is good enough to last longer than you can talk, but the sound quality is terrible after a little while.

Yeah I saw the woot ones which is one of the reasons why I started the thread. I bought a Dect 6.0 AT&T set a couple months ago and the Bluetooth connection was terrible. My cell had to be next to the base to get a good connection. The wall mounted base was weird and didn't sit on the wall well.

As I said above, we use V-Techs at home. I can go outside for quite a distance (We have 2 acres) and the call quality is OK. We charge them at night. My kids talk on them for hours each day without dying.
