Hey all,
So I want to upgrade my crappy dorm chair to something more comfortable... Naturally I don't have $200 to spend on a fancy leather chair. But I want something that will be comfortable and sturdy.

Went to visit office depot today, thought this was really comfy--definitely comparable to some of the more expensive models. It has a $25 MIR on it too.

One problem though...it doesn't have armrests.

So my questions are:
1) How important are armrests? (i.e. would you buy the linked chair?)
2) What other models would you guys suggest? Try to keep the price not too far past $100

Thanks,
-Eric

no love for office chairs? :(

someone give me an idea of how important armrests are...please? lol

I've never used a chair w/o them, so it's kind of hard to gauge how much I would miss them.

I like armrests, especially when there's a computer at the desk (for support while using mouse and keyboard) but if I found a really nice comfy chair without armrests it wouldn't be the end of the world.

which..? $50 is pretty cheap already isn't it? And OD has some offer to get a free black & white TV with all orders over $50. Mom wants one so this seems like a not so bad idea.

If it's a comfortable chair, I wouldn't mind without armrests, but I usually prefer armrests. They're comfy :).

If you're looking at an expensive chair, check to see if any of the local office furniture stores will let you lease one for a few days. It's hard to decide whether you'll be happy with a chair until you actually use it for a few hours.

Well it's $50 chair...and it's too much trouble to lease. I don't have a car/any way of really transporting back and forth.
