Hello all. I'm looking to buy a new laptop with some power to play games on. I cant afford nor do I want an Alienware. The two sites that I am looking at are Ibuypower.com and cyperpowerpc.com. Each of those two sites offer about the same stuff and the prices arent to bad. Anyway, I was wondering, have any of you owned a laptop from either of those companies? I mean, are they reliable and stuff? I dont want to buy something and it turns out to be junk. Any info on those two companies will be awsome.

Try powernotebooks.com, that's where I bought my laptop. Gaming machines aren't cheap no matter who you buy from. Hope this helps.

edit: Haven't heard any bad info about Ibuypower and cyberpower.

look them up on resellerratings.com or froogle and see what poeple have to say about them. thats what i always do. my 2 cents, i just ordered an Acer Travelmate 8200, core duo 2ghz, X1600 256mb, 120gb HDD, 2gig ram, $2100. should be here sometime next week, i'll do a big review of it when i get the time. IMHO, core duo is the only option for an efficent mobile gamer.

edit: i'm feeling benevolent, i'll save you some legwork.

I have a couple friends wh purchased from Cyberpowerpc and love their systems. I am a mobile business user and do a little gaming so when I bought mine I looked at the acer's. seemed like more bang for the buck than most.

core duo 1.66
x1400 128 pcie on board 384 shared
15.4 16ms crystalbrite
