Hi,

I want to buy a lcd tv but i really don´t understand much about it. My price range is 550 - 650 dollars and if possible HD ready.
Some opinions would be nice :).

You're not going to get much of a TV in that price range.
For $700 you can get the Westinghouse LTV-27W6, which is a 27" with HD receiver.

If you could afford a few hundred more, you could get a nice 36-42" LCD or Plasma...The only downside is they may be a few years out of date or be from a no-name company. Check your local Sam's club for deals...or Costco....Both have a nice line of cheap LCDs and probably have a decent exchange policy.

If you don't mind buying refurbished, check out Philips Outlet. They often have sales on their refurbished LCDs...you can save a few hundred off the price at least.

27 wide Syntax Olevia at Newegg etc.

$600 new $500 recertified.

(I bought a recertified and it has one dead pixel which you can't see from 3 feet away)

The Olevia ones are cheap and have DVI-VGA- many inputs.

Mine works great with HDTV Wonder and 9600XT.
