want to buy a juicer...

The Jack Lalane juicer doesn't have enough power. Grab a coupon to linens n things and pickup the Breville ($129.99 - 20%). It has 600 watts. The Jack Lalane has a whimpy 250 watt motor.

Downside to the breville is that it is loud, but it is on for all of 60 seconds while you feed it fruit. Easy cleanup.

Interesting. I didn't know what the power rating of the motor was.

I did extensive research on juicers at a time i was going to purchase one. I researched everything I could find online and went to about a dozen stores and talked to a lot of ppl... thru email, telephone and in shops.

I came to find that the best consumer juicer on the market for the price is without a doubt the OMEGA 9000.

Note: I ended up changing my mind about purchasing a juicer in the end... because I could not promise myself i would use it daily. Since VeggieFrog moved out, chances are i would not use it more than a few days a week, if that and it would not be worth the outlay.

but i did see this beauty in action... and it made the best juice, with the smallest amount left behind and easiest clean up out of the 15 or so i was considering.
It also has one hell of a warranty, compared to the rest. Really sturdy, well built in the USA and looks pretty darn good, too.

holy crap 250 dollars?! and it only has a 250w motor... 1/3 hp... less than the juiceman juicer... but the warantee looks good.

if i remember correctly... the juiceman is a pulp ejecter and they NEED a higher RPM. The 'Centrifugal juicers' do the same or better job at a lower RPM and result in a higher juice yeild.

but i could never get a juiceman after reading THIS.... hahaha.

plus many of the ppl i spoke to were not thrilled with them. there was one other juicer i saw that was like... whew... the bestest thing ever... and i cannot remember the name of it because it was like $1,200 and when we heard the price, the b/f and i just walked away. 😉

edit: oh yea... the pulp ejector juicers are a pita to clean compare to the centrifugal force ones.
