do not do it
1. you just got the job. what if they get rid of you in month. save some green while you can
2. mustang is very limited care for daily driver. you will get tired of it and will want to trade. buy car that you see yourself driving everyday for next 5-10 yrs

How is a Mustang a limited daily driver?

I would take a genesis coupe in a heart beat as well, they just tend to be more expensive from what i've seen.

The Genesis looks like they took an Infiniti, melted it a bit, and then hit it with an ugly stick, then had a Japanese woodcut artist give it a face. What a grotesque car.

It's an impressive upgrade from the previous 4.0 V6 OP but in terms of fuel economy the 5.0 GT is still decently rated at 17/26 vs 19/29 for the V6 so going to the 5.0 isn't a deal breaker in the MPG category, insurance is another matter, call around and get some quotes as insurance company's usually tack on for performance models over base and that has to be considered in the price of ownership as well..

Because you can't fit anything but groceries in it? Because when you are in rush hour traffic and prius is in front of you and grandma in buick next to you, you can only cry how you can't use your HP? Because when you are surrounded by SUVs you can't see anything but their "SUBURBAN" labels since mustang sits too low?
God forbid if you live in state that actually sees the snow.

I would think the Mustang would be fine for a daily driver. If you want to haul stuff buy a pickup. The mustang is ment to be a fun daily driver that if you need to carry anything bigger you bring a wagon or something. With that said I suggest the GTI.

The Mustang isn't a 2 seat sportscar. It's a pony car. Pony cars have always been practical vehicles with usable backseats and big trunks and the current Mustang is no different. That's the whole point of this class of vehicle. The back seats fold so you can fit fishing rods, surfboards, or greatswords. Considering the musclecar culture in the midwest, I think they probably do fine in snow.

Except I've never been stuck in rush hour traffic, I gun my Camaro at least once on a daily basis, I don't need to see over SUVs, and as long as you're not an idiot you would be fine driving it in areas like NC where I live where it barely snows.

Sounds like driving for you is pretty miserable. Even in Atlanta, I have plenty of chances to enjoy my car all year around. Heck, the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains are just 15 minutes north if I so desire. Never had problems daily driving my Vette and I doubt a Mustang would be any different.

I've seen a few middle aged guys in Boss's around here. These are they only guys that can afford to pay the stupid markup.

QFT...there aren't many kids able to afford these.

I am not bitter about it though, I was pretty well set in my first car and so were my friends. One had 3 exotics, 1 superbike, and 2 or 3 lesser cars just in high school.

get it new, enjoy it don't look back. Advantage with new is the warranty of course.

Most cars retain their warranty on resale.

If available picking up someone elses 2000-5000 mile case of buyer's remorse cuts out the depreciation hit. Some do prefer a totally new car, but you pay a big premium for that.
