want to burn video

Hi all,

I needed some help, I am using easy cd & dvd creator 6 (roxio) and am having trouble, I am trying to drag the video into the dvd making module and the message I get is that it is not an acceptable file type.

the video clip plays on windows media player. I am guessing it is an mpeg or avi?

is there a format which i need to convert this clip to before I burn it?

Yea, you have to convert it to mpeg 2 for DVD NTSC format. . .

The newest Nero 7 will do it all automatically.

You can use Tmpgenc Xpress as well - both of these are paid solutions.

For some free solutions check in the 2nd thread in my sig.

Nero Burning ROM 7 really does this now? Not requiring a seperate component? I recently started using the burning component of 7 alone... the seperate Vision or Recode from 6 did not pan out for VI capture or MPEG-4 ASP to to DVD conversion so I never even bothered trying the other "bloat" from 7 and in any case I found VSO's ConvertXToDVD (formerly DivXToDVD) to be great. Now I am intrigued!

I am using Alive Video converter. It allows you convert your favorite video to any formats (mpeg-2 or DVD) I converted some of videos to DVD format before burn to DVD with nero 7. works for me. but it is not free.

Alive video converter
