Ok, Thanks for the info guys! I will need a day or so to think over the info and try to come to a "rational" decision. I'll let you know what it is! I have to research and figure out how much I can get for selling the old stuff to buy a Xeon or a i7-3770k.

It would however help me if I can get an answer to this question in my mind:

If going for a Xeon for my 3D and photoshop work, will that give me a worse gaming experience than if i stayed with the i5-3570k? or even an i7-3770K?

If Xeon can still run most games, then I would go for that.

Those Xeons appear to have lower clock speeds but more cores (until you get into ridiculously high priced units!) More potential work power, less gaming power.

Do you even need multiple computers? You could sell the whole lot and get one brand new i7-4770k that'll put all the others to shame...

Which Xeon? Don't bother buying an LGA 1366 Xeon, it's slower than an i5 3570K except for rendering.

Yeah unless you're trying to extend the life on a X58 chipset, you're probably better off building a new one really on a 4770K

This ole ASUS P6T7 still liking the X5650 though.

Slower than a 3570K, ummmmmm *shrug*

Probably I imagine, but rendering seems to be a lot of what he's doing.
