Want to build a server

Me and my friends are thinking of making a computer to use for a coutnerstrike server, but we dont want to spend much. What all do you need to make a server run well? Im assuming ram and the procesor are the most important, but do u need good video card or anything else?
 
For a CS server, you don't really need anything too powerful. A 500MHz will probably be overkill, and get at least 256MB of RAM, 512MB preferable, so you can support more players.

Make sure you get a fast 7200RPM hard drive, so you're not waiting on the server to change levels.

Video card is not important at all on a server, as it doesn't show any graphics
