What about http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...oduct&id=1188559784848 instead of http://www.officedepot.com/ddS...earchFlag=true&An=text I don't have an office depot nearby, and based on what i see. I get 1GB RAM and 100GB HDD space. Plus, the card seems a bit better. The case seems identical from what i can tell, so i thought maybe i could just get that and fit the 8800GT into it? What do you think. 🙂

If you're immediately going to upgrade to an 8800GT, then you're essentially paying $180 for 1GB of RAM and 100GB of HDD space.

Do you think that's a good deal? I'd say that's worth about $30 to me, if that.

Are you looking at these models and comparing the differences prior to posting them? Prior to posting, compare the models. When you compare the differences, think about what the differences would cost you on NewEgg; it's clear to me that the Gateway still represents the best deal. All you need to do is make a list of the differences, then go to NewEgg and get pricing info. If it's a wash and you need the part, by all means get it in the PC, but if you don't need it and/or the price is too expensive, stick with the Gateway (or a cheaper model).

Thats from the same company. You don't need 8 gigs of ram because no OS at this time will recognize more than 4 (actually i think its just over 3 but not sure exactly). And instead of 2 dvd drives I added 1 r/w blue-ray drive (it also does DVD and CD's) that way its set for the future instead of having to upgrade later. I left out the monitor because I promise you can get a bigger better one for alot cheaper after market. same goes for all the after market things, printer, keyboard, mouse, etc etc.

Nice, thanks for that. I'll probably just go with that, for the time being i picked up the gateway from BB - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...&cp=1&id=1188559784848. With my BB reward card points it only cost me like 719$ or so, i replaced the power source and the video card so fast and easy, way easier to work on than the HP and way more space inside than the HP even though the case is nearly the same. Works sweet, no problems so far. Tried out HL2 maxed, HLG: London maxed with DX9 and AA Maxed, np, no slow down. Works sweet. Let's hope it keeps working!

Btw, what does this stuff mean.

Thats pretty good, And if you got the PSU and VC switched in and its running fine then its a perfect setup for ya. Glad you got something you wanted finally AND its running! Im not sure about that rating system because its a vista thing. Im sure someone else here will know. But As long as you can run everything you want smoothly then I wouldnt be to concerned with it. Well dont burn yourself out to much. Work is fine but not if its gonna kill ya lol.

Yeah, it runs great. I'm going to install HL2 Cinematic Mod when i get home. The file is almost 3GB hehe, and the textures are supposedly like 4000 x 3000 or something, insanely high. The guy says you shouldn't even bother running max on it unless you have a 64bit system of Vista. And medium only if you have a really really really fast computer. Sooo.. I'm gonna test it out with my computer just to push it a bit and see if it'll play. Other than that, I'm very happy! Hopefully it will keep up the good work for me. 🙂 Now I can wait at least probably 6 months if not more until i get the computer i posted earlier. 🙂

Does anyone know what exactly the 320-6190 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT is? I am getting a Dell with this card and IF I wanted to go SLI I assume I need to get the exact same card, correct? It would be cheaper to get the 2nd card, whatever it is, from some other retailer.
