Want to build a game console-like HTPC

I'd like to put together a gaming PC (not a hardcore system, but something that can play reasonably modern games at decent settings) that fits in roughly the footprint of a modern gaming console. Is this possible and, if so, what case/PSU combos out there would do the trick? Is a dGPU possible in this scenario, or is an iGPU the best I'm going to be able to do if I want that kind of footprint?

Thanks.

SX500-LG also fits that case, if you want a PSU that is highly efficient, quiet and powerful enough for graphics cards that need dual PCIe power connectors.

I'd go with something like this
- i3-4160, or i5-4460(S)-4590(S) with Noctua L9i cooler
- b85 or h97 itx board
- 2x4GB DDR3-1600, one 8GB stick is fine too (leaves a slot open)
- GTX 750 Ti 2GB, GTX 960 2GB or GTX 970 4GB, preferably Asus Strix or MSI Gaming to keep it quiet
- 240-256GB SSD, e.g. BX100, MX100, MX200
- 450-500W SFX PSU
- ML07B case with additional 120mm fan blowing on the graphics card
