Item link

The item's LGA is simply 1155, meaning it will work with LGA 1155 size Sandybridge and Ivybridge processors.

Do you need any other insight that worries you before your purchase?
What cpu would you be using with this board?

I think the V stands for micro design or at least I think it does. Not shure. Deluxe means it will have wiFi and 2 ethernet ports.

No need to get deluxe just get the vanilla P8

Unless you really need the extra feature of the Deluxe, you'd be better of saving $80 and getting the Pro. Perhaps even the LK... :hmm:

BTW, using a Deluxe myself and I'm quite pleased with it... :)

I might list tonight.

As far as the Pro, If i read specs right, it will not support 2560x1440. I might have mt specs mixed. But at this point in time I have to stick with Deluxe which has come down to $279 and includes 8 of memory.

It does. But you have to use the Displayport. DVI maxes at 1920x1200...

If you do get a Deluxe, you won't regret it though. Just make sure you update to the latest BIOS (curently v1805), the earlier ones have some "funny" quirks with the USB port... :D

Sorry to be so dumb after 70 years but what is a display port.
Bob

A newer type of video connector. Replaced DVI a couple years ago. On par with Dual Link DVI at the moment, but the cables are cheaper, the ports are smaller, and the latest Displayport specification allows you to daisy-chain, among other handy features.

So basically it allows for ridiculous high res multi-monitor setups with a lot of ports on a single card.

What are you using for video card and memory? Those are the last items I need. Al thought all the items I considered for the board are mostly a, hope I'm right.
