want to adjust web video levels independantly

my big 42" LCD HTPC illuminates the entire room and half my front yard so i adjusted my
desktop with my Nvidia app to a nice cool somewhat dimmed brightness level.
however now my web videos are too dark so was wondering how to adjust those web videos independantly.
