Should I go with the internal PCI card or the external USB card, and why ?? Anyone have experience with M-Audio cards in a Mac ??
 
I would first check with the manufacturer about drivers for the Mac. Creative could never be bothered to actually update their Mac drivers for the SB Live.
 
In that case, go with the internal card. The Mac's USB ports are still at 1.1, so it's 12Mb/sec vs. the near 1Gb/sec speeds of a PCI slot. USB cards are a last resort(such as laptop) senario.
