i have a internal hauppauge tv tuner at my home desktop. is there any software that will allow me to remotely use the tv tuner in the desktop so i can use my laptop to watch tv at school? both computers are windows 7. i want something like what the slingbox can do if possible.

thanks

either stuggle with orb (sometimes it works awesome, sometimes its a pain) or get a slingbox. most people who use orb end up getting a slingbox just to eliminate the frustrations.

you can also use Tversity i guess, but i never really figured out how.

hmm.. is tversity able to stream live TV from the tv tuner in my home desktop or is it just a way to get media that is already on my desktop's hard drive

If you use windows 7 media center there is something called remote potato that can stream your recorded tv shows to a browser.

i'll give remote potato a try but if i'm reading the website correctly, it doesn't seem to let me stream "live" tv over the internet though, only recorded ones?
