“Getting a superlean physique requires that you eat, sleep, and breathe a fairly restrictive approach,” says fat-loss coach Jill Coleman, MS, co-owner of Metabolic Effect. “Every once in a while, you’ll see the oddball who can achieve it without such an approach, but 99 percent of the people I’ve worked with would have to severely change their lifestyle to achieve the shredded look. That means cooking all meals at home, eating out of Tupperware, never missing a day at the gym, and turning down invitations to social events (or going and not eating the food).”

F that!!

I mean, yeah, I understood looking like that requires work and what not,.. but, man,.. you just aren't living life if you try to obtain that look!

Why not?

What's so bad about devoting a couple of hours a week to better yourself.

It's a better lifestyle than getting fat. Unless getting fat is considered "living life"

That means cooking all meals at home, eating out of Tupperware, never missing a day at the gym, and turning down invitations to social events (or going and not eating the food).”

That's not even that hard. This is normal for me. I go to social events and either don't eat or restrict my caloric intake beforehand so I can eat at those events, make all my food every day at home, and go to the gym every single day.

This is simple stuff. Apparently keeping yourself healthy is some insurmountable sacrifice.

Gah!!

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/shredded_in_5_days.htm

5-DAY WATER INTAKE SCHEDULE
Day 1: 2-3 gallons water throughout the day
Day 2: 2-3 gallons water throughout the day
Day 3: 2-3 gallons water throughout the day
Day 4 & 5: Significantly reduce water

Day 6 - get a fucking kidney stone*.

NO thank you.

* Yes, kidney stones take a couple of months to actually form,.. not 1 day. But, if you want to constantly look like this,.. get ready for some serious hurting.

When you get paid for how your body looks, then you gotta make sure you keep it. Obviously they have to make sacrifices to keep their body looking like that.

Nothing bad about it. But, it is not 'a couple of hours a week'. It's going to the gym everyday. So, it would be a couple of hours per day, per week. Figure 14 hours per week probably.

It's great to be dedicated,.. but, you've restricted yourself considerably,.. for look & image purposes. And, it makes sense for the models (it's their job), but for the average person,.. nope.

What's even better is they go to all that work and then they fuckin photoshop the hell out of it still. For live events they do all sorts of other shit too so you're really not seeing natural body like ever.

And, uh, no shit extremely low body mass isn't healthy, let alone the shit people go through to achieve/maintain that (which if you're skinny models will mean depriving your body of nutrients and if you're a body builder then you'll be ingesting all manner of shit to achieve your goals).

1.5 hours a day is not restrictive. If you can't put that much time into self betterment every day, your priorities are skewed.

Or, I am not a shallow person who obsesses over image. Or, in the model's case - I am not in that industry.

Bottom line; eat right and exercise right and you'll look and feel healthy.

I don't know about 14 hours a week. Probably more like 7-10 (1-1.5 hours per day). There are people in my gym that look like that and I know for a fact that they only workout once a day for an hour. Its an INTENSE hour mind you, but its an hour nonetheless.

Just cause I do all of that doesn't mean I skip out on everything. I just make choices. If my friends are going out for their weekly beer and wings for football I might choose to eat before hand or a salad. One it saves me a shit ton of money. It's like $30-40 for beer and wings. Two it saves me on like 3000 calories on one meal.

Your average yoga instructor has abs like that. It's no miracle. Just stop cramming cheetos into your piehole.

I got 4 emails yesterday that someone had put holiday treats in our floors kitchen. Food/sugar consumption is out of control. This article just smacks of "it's ok that you just ate 3 pieces of fudge and a slice of pie, those VS models are the truly unhealthy bunch" bullshit that fat people like to read to feel better about themselves.

I was going to say... I mean, they are fine abs, but nothing to write home about. See abs like that at my gym every day.

Would I like to have those abs? Yep.

Am I willing to make the changes / put the work in to get them? Nope.

I'm OK with that. Now I'll get back to my bagel.

Scroll down to the second model pic...she has very impressive abs. The first girl are nice abs, but easily attainable by someone in there 20's who exercise and eat properly.

I have actual market data on what type of women people pay to see in the buff, these women are less than 1%. Society has brainwashed a lot of people into thinking that tiny skinny women are the ideal but when people have the option of paying for private content, this isn't what they opt for. I'll bet in this thread alone there will be people stating publicly that this is what they want while deep down they know it's not. It's frustrating.

You can have abs without being bone-skinny.

If they built the right muscle, they'll maintain that hip, ass, and thigh package that we all lust over.

Also, yes, I do agree it's a little better when a woman's abs aren't quite there, meaning their body-fat percentage isn't super-cut... but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be FIT and have muscle.
More people are super fit without the cut look, they just don't have muscle-fiber-level definition on their abs.
