Even after finishing Return to Zork (with the help of strategy guide, of course) I still had no clue as to what the game was about.

There aren't enough threads about rye bread. I don't think it gets the attention it deserves.

What are some other computer/video games that made no sense?

What about XtremePaint Brawl? No sense? Commander Blood? Anyone play that?

Did you play either of the two sequels? And if so, were they any less confusing?

There could easily be a thread about wacky sounding speech in video games... with links too I bet...

My favourite was always the judge in the arcade game "Karate Champ"... everything he says is great. "Gin" = begin, "FOO POIT" = full point, when he says "half point" it sounds like he is depressed... on and on. And how would I experience all this without the goodness of mame? OF COURSE I own the original rom! duh!

LMFAO!
The road to the south is impassable. Absolutely impossible to pass. Impassable.

One of the writers for Babylon 5 wrote a scathing editorial because fans of the show are always hunting for hidden references. The rant was sparked when a fan theorized that a character using the fairly common toast: "Who's like us? Damn few, and they're all dead" was a reference to RtZ.

I don't remember the specifics...something about a magic disk and smashing a magic barrier. I thought the plot was pretty straight-forward.

Aside from the Sword of Elvish Workmanship and your old friend, The Brass Lantern lacking their proper prominence, it fit in well with the Zork chronicles, right down to the few puzzles that no one could ever possibly figure out on their own (like feeding the cow carrots and then drinking the milk to save your vision???).

I have fond memories of it, perhaps because of the great soundtrack that you could play right off the CD, and perhaps also because next to LOOM it was the second CD-ROM game I ever got.

And I had always loved Zork/Infocom games.
