I havea celery 600(66) and four dimms totaling 480, I want to replace my dead tyan board(i dropped my file server off the top of my car). I found some boards that use the VIA 694X chipset but haven't heard anythig about it... Again, this is to replace my file server (i need the extra ram, cause I run a lot of different services on it)
Oh yeah... I know AMD stuff is out there, but I just have some old ram a 64 and a 32 that are PC66 from long ago that I would like to utilize. And I already have the chip with a slow 66 bus and have tested everything and the only thing that is dead is the mobo... Thanks

I am currently running a MSI 6309 Ver 1.0 board 370socket. I had a Celery566 installed and could easily run at 770 stable as the day is long, it also ran at 805 no problem but I didn't need the speed or the extra wear and tear on the chip. The board has 3 DIMM slots and supports up to 768 Meg RAM PC133. Overclocking features are easily accessible through BIOS. the board is very solid IMHO.
I am currnetly running a Celery 900 with 256Meg PC133 Kingston Ram and it runs like a raped ape. I haven't explored the OC'ing on this chip as it is plenty fast just the way it is. The FSB choices go to at least 135 and are easy to set. The RAM settings are easy to set through BIOS also.

Overall, I would buy another MSI board if I needed to. Too bad the Celery only goes so far when it comes to base mHz. If you want to upgrade to beyond 1Gig processor, a different chip and thus a different board will be required.
