want network drive, options

I want a network drive to be accessed from several locations. Need 100Mb but could use up to 1Gb - so not much space.

My university provides space on the network drive. It needs to be accessed over a vpn with proprietary cisco software. With this option I'd need to set up the software and tell the computer to connect to the network drive through vpn and bypass the vpn for everything else.

Alternatively do you know of a service where I could purchase use of some space over the internet which could be mounted as a network drive in Windows? Would 1&1 or some other company offer this? (If so I'd probably prefer it over the university network as I don't trust the university computer service; their network is full of non-standard features.)

Thanks for your help!

Storage:
Amazon S3 service

Mounting:
Jungle Disk

There are other (free) options for mounting, but i've tested this one, and it seems to work well. The licensing is also very generous.
