Hello,

For some people ( after reading the post from other forum for PRICE Match between BestBuy and Staples)who don't trust the differences between model number from Staples and the model number from BestBuy for Philips CD-RW 8x4x32. OR You are Refugee from other post thread about this hot deal. Don't worry. Daddy gets you one which is more secure! The Model number of Philips CD-RW 8x4x32 from CIRCUIT CITY is the same as Rebate 40 dollars from Philips site <in my Circuit City in Irvine, CA> (you can download the PHILIP MIR REBATE either on Staples or Philips). Here, you are going to do in the following:

1. Price Match the price from Staples in Circuit City in C.C customer service.
2. Be happy! $69(after Price Match) - 10% of differences in Circuit City -30(Circuit City REBATE)- 40(MIR)= Whatever + TAX
3. Be careful! If you are greed (you bought one in BestBUY with PriceMatch), unfortunately, the C.C. Rebate is the same as BestBUY's. MIR has Cirucit City as one of the participating store.

Edit:
PLEASE look at my procedure 3? If you are greed? Sorry, you can't buy one. Rebate are the same as Bestbuy (30 dollars).

Main thing here is BestBUY Got PISSED OFF because so many people use pricematch and most of them are not selling anymore at that 99 dollars price. Also, Model number in bestbuy is kind of typo but circuit city is more secure because the model number is same as rebates.

-------------------GOOD LUCK!-------------------------

You don't want to do that to burn at the same time because easily get failed and slow down the rate. But you can put two RWs into one system and choose one in Adaptec burning Menu before you burn.

<< Is that possible to have 2 CD-RW drive in a system? I already got a plextor 8x4x32.. but can I try to burn 2 CD at a time using both drive?? or I gonna use this philips as a CD-ROM?? >>

If you had a dually like the Gateway Server, you could do it. But again, your odds of failure increase. Damn! I gotta wait till morning! Argh!!!! :D

I've got all the links up ready to go. rebatehq.com and circuit city $30 rebate. I know they probably have it. If not, I guess I'll have the go the other route....

LOL! Of course, waiting for really good hot deal like this kind is not easy! Since I use anandtech forums. This is the 2nd time like this kind of hot deal to buy stuff. 1st time, I post Intel Anypoint Wireless USB for 5 dollars after Pricematch with COMPUSA and INTEL MIR rebate. Philips deal is my 2nd time that I use and buy.

Actually, I have a 16x and a 4x that i burn at the same time. Never have any problems with them doing that, but then again, i've probably put too much money into my computer to sup it up.

Good deal by MullyrSculder. I do prefer to get it from BestBuy since their particular rebate is handled by rebate center at Young America, which is one of the better one. CC rebate is usually more troublesome from my experience.

Dual CPUs doesn't help much. It's how fast your harddrives are, and their sustained data access speeds. If you get multiple CDRW drives with Burnproof, there is virtually no limit to the number of CDs you can burn, assuming your hardware will support all those drives. :)

If you look at HawkeyeNJ posts you will see that BB will have this on sale next week for $69 so you can just go to BB and pick if up and end up with it for free also.

There're 2 UPC label in the box. But there's also several serial number barcode in it, and one of them is joined to the 2 UPC. The problem is whether the rebate center wanted both the UPC and the serial# too, or will 1 UPC be sufficient for them?

You COULD use two burners at the same time, without much CPU to back it up, but the problem will be IO. IDE only allows reading/writing to one device at a time on the same controller. That means you would need a seperate channel for each burner, plus ojne for the source drive. If you're burning from a scsi drive, you may be ok.

There are two UPC's on the box.

Edit: darn you people, beating me to it. :p Yeah, I just send in the actual UPC code; not the serial # bars or anything. I don't believe that's required.

The $30 rebate is to be sent to Philips not circuit city. How possible Philips will send two rebates back to us if buying if from circuit city?

Also, don't forget that you get 10% of the difference back from CC. That's about $3, I think :)
