I had a Team Associated TC3 Racer a few years back with a Honda Accord 4-door body. I had for a while then got bored and sold it on eBay. Now I'm in the mood again and wanna play:p (on-road touring car)

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo, should I get another TC3 racer or:

Get an HPI RS4 / RS4 Sport?
Or a Tamiya 4WD chassis?

My budget is around $160 for the kit. I'll by the radio/ESC/battery packs later.

Talk amongst yourselves:D

associated or losi...tamiya are better for looks but are generally overengineered, very plastic and expensive if you abuse them, but performance nothing beats either losi or associated.

I only have two older cars, a Team Car and a Tamiya astute, but back in the day I had a Grasshopper, Lunchbox, The Team Car, Astute, Fox, lots of mini tamiya cars and a few others I am forgetting.

Absolutely. I still have my extremely tricked out RC10-LSO paved oval 1/10 scale race car in my closet. ;)

Team Losi for an onroad touring car?

I really like the Tamiya TB01 chassis. This kit I like a lot. Comes with motor and is decently quick enough already. Get used to it again and pop on a 13 turn motor and you'll be flying.

go gas and get a used one

buddy of mine sold a sweet setup last fall for 150 - the thing did about 65mph

The Tamiya chassis always turned me off b/c they're basically just thick tubs of plastic.

HPI for touring nitro cars. I've got the Nitro RS4 3 TypeSS w/ the RSX body.

That thing is fast and fairly durable. The thing with nitros is that you have to budget for even small repairs almost every time you drive them. This one has been pretty durable, and the only things I've had go on it are a few clips in the 10-15 times I've driven it.

HPI makes excellent on road touring cars.

AE makes great stadium trucks, noexperience with their onroad cars.

oops didn't read that much into your thread, sorry....

in that case I personally would stick with AE, I love my team car even though it is very very old....from the little I have read lately they are still pretty darn good....

good luck, I might take mine out to the local track again...

I was thinking of getting an RS4 chassis with a Impreza kit. I think they come with at least a slightly lifted chassis and nobby tires so you can do some mild off-roading

Losi XXX-S and Associated TC3 are the ONLY competitive touring cars... RC is big here in Columbus. I used to race a Street Weapon, then got a XXX-S. I mainly ran offroad (XXX). I sold all my stuff except for my Tekin charger and my Airtronics M8, in case I ever get back into it.

EDIT: Hmmm... apparently Schumacher and Serpent make competitive sedans now too. National Race results.

Sorry :)

I used to have a Tamiya (M-04M) Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint . That body was SOOO sweet. Tamiya makes the absolute BEST looking bodies for R/C cars...bar none! :) Then I got an HPI Civic Hatch body for the chassis for bashing around b/c the Alfa body was just to purdy to damage :)

I then sold the Tamiya kit and bodies on eBay and bought the TC3.

Now I've been sucked back in. "Just when I thought I was out, they PULL me back IN" :D
