want feedback on new forum layout

I think your cellpadding is too big. The little dots on the side are kind of distracting too. Either make them more complex (detailed) or make them smaller. Other than that, its looks like every other forum out there =D.

It was very distracting...too much randomness and not easy to navigate. Try to put more information on one screen but lay it out nice so it's easy to browse/scan.

Whoops, I just tested it in IE - it looks awful in IE.

Ok, everyone upgrade to mozilla or something!! J/k LOL

managed to fix it. Not sure why but when there's a return between tables or <td> IE interprets it as a space. To make stuff look good in IE, ye must put all on one line, well with tables anyway.

The bolts on the sides are not a bad idea to change. I originally made it look like a server rack but it did not work out, I'll probably make smaller holes and make them spaced in set of twos like it really is on racks, well de-4 racks anyway, but I suppose it's pretty much standard.
 
Yea, its kinda rough on the eyes... Try and choose and more subtle, yet flowing color scheme.
 
I want to keep the "Ice" theame, but maybe of I make the colors more faded maybe? it's all CSS so it should be easy to instantly change everything. Something I should experiment with offline... You're not the first person to say it's hard on the eyes, so figured I should fix it. To me it seems fine so it's hard to judge sometimes. 🙂

Not 100% sure what you mean by this. Like should it be less spaced out so it shows more forums on 1 screen?

Also I changed the color scheme a bit on the home page, is it better? Thanks
