Hi,

Im tired of missing my favorite shows and would like to record them for later viewing and/or burning to DVD. I have cable tv, non digital. Comcast likes to nickel and dime for every extra feature no matter how minor.

I have a small form factor Antec Aria case that pretty much is ready to go. Im assuming I just need a tuner card and some (free if possible) software to capture my shows.

My questions

- Are there decent cheap tuner cards or do I need one of those ATI all in wonder cards
- Any free software available that will fill my needs (running xp pro)
- Do I only need a tuner card and software?
- Any suggestion welcomed on how to go about this.

I have an old ATI TV wonder VE, and x700 in my Antec Aria, that works good. Most TV tuner cards will come with all the software you need.

There are cheap TV cards out there, lots of em.

Media portal is free and much better than the shite hauppage ship with thier cards.

Yes that's about all you need.

You're looking at a rather limited Home Theatre PC or HTPC.

What would an unlimited one get me?
