Want drop in replacement for K7S5A Pro

I have a K7S5A Pro system with a 1900+ CPU.

Due to some physical problems with the board, I'd like to get a new board but don't want to have to reinstall anything. Is there a drop-in replacement board (Socket A) that I could upgrade to along with a spare 3200+ CPU I have that won't require I reinstall Windows? Or would just a 'repair' make the upgrade seem transparent?

Thanks,
CxP

If you have DDR RAM on that board, I found the PC-Chips M848A to be an excellent replacement. Windows XP survives the board swap with no hiccups, no tricks required. It might want to phone home to re-activate afterwards, but that's all it takes.

You NEED to get M848A v2.1 with SiS 748 chipset for 200 MHz FSB support; the new v5.0, targeting the Sempron market, is back to the 746FX chipset, limited to 166 MHz bus.

Thanks for the suggestions! I believe the system has DDR memory, I'll have to check it when I go over there again.

Appreciate your feedback.
