Laugh, first for everything.
I'm getting my friend some cigars when i go to visit him in China. Cigars are outragous in price there so i want to get some here at cheap prices.

See if you guys know any ways to get some or any online stores with good prices.

My friend wants:
PUROS INDIOS
PADRON
ONYX
ROBUSTO
DOUBLE CORONA
Churchill

and of course any cubans will be great.
By the way: he wants cheap as long as it is made in Domican Republic or Hondurus.

Much to ask but see what you guys can do for a old friend.

cigarsrus.com, and cigar emporium i believe it's called, both have very good deals on cigars online, if you just take a little time you'll find some good deals, but beware of their newsletters, once your on em, you'll never get off, but they do include some sweet deals, last year aroudn this time i got a box of 25 cohiba's along with a box of another 25 cohibas for $99 shipped. it was some special they were running, sort of a buy one get one deal, so just look around and you'll find what you wnat (the cohiba's were dominican, not cuban)

Some suggestions for great places to buy cigars:

JR Cigars

This is the largest wholesaler and distributor of cigars in the world. The JR Ultimate and JR Alternative brands are both excellent. JR is also responsible for El Rey Del Mundo but these can be purchased cheaper at Mike's (below).

Famous Smoke

These guys often have stock on hard to find brands and typically have good prices as well, often better than JR. I get the sense that some mfrs like Fuente don't like to sell to Lew Rothman of JR Cigars because of his reputation for heavy discounts, and so more Fuentes show up at retailers like Famous or Mike's.

Mike's Cigars

These guys have been around forever, and again, do a good job keeping many popular brands in stock at reasonable prices.

Holt's Cigars

I mention Holt's only because they typically have many of the most expensive cigars in stock like Opus X and so on and they don't sell junk. They tend to stay closer to MSRP than the discounters listed above.

I have ordered via web from the first three vendors listed but not from Holts.

Trying to buy Cuban cigars from within the US is a waste of time.

99% of the time you get fakes, and the other 1% of the time they get intercepted by US Customs. Save yourself some money and buy some JR "Genuine Counterfeit Cuban Cigars" -- they are better constructed, have similar flavor (though nothing is the same as a Cuban) and are much much cheaper.

Reading your note, Puros Indios was recently slashed in price. Most major companies are selling them for $40-$60 per box. Ditto on Onyx. Padron tends to be very expensive by comparison as they are quite popular and limited in supply. The other things you mentioned are all sizes, and not brands.

FYI, Onyx is in maduro wrapper only, and Padron is known for maduro wrappers as well. You should be able to find either, but if you're looking for an excellent substitute, I'd recommend El Rey Del Mundo in Oscuro (jet black). The big 54 ring gauge "Robusto" sizes are really nice.

i've ordered from jr cigars many times and have always been satisfied with them. boccibob mentioned el rey del mundo, i recommend the the rectangulares. box pressed, good smoke, i like them in maduro and natural. also recommend the la gloria cubana wavells in maduro. tasty. enjoy.
 
this'll be funny..... from what i remember, i thought that china didn't allow cigars into their country. sure there's the black market but if you're thinking about taking them in, that's smuggling 😀

oh and for good prices www.avilacigars.com has some really good deals on boxes.
