Which boards would you recommend?

PS - I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and do not want to upgrade.

That's a S939 mobo. But, I would recommend the K8N Neo Platinum. It's worked great for me thus far. I know that the Asus K8N-E Deluxe seems as if it would also be a good choice.

if you wanna go with a sff, i highly recommend the shuttle sk83g. It's based on the via K8M800 chipset. the barebones are moving to s939 these days, so you can get the sk83g for pretty cheap since its an "old" socket 754. and it has an agp slot, as well as a pci. i've built 2 computers for family members using this barebones kit, and am about to build another. i LOVE this case! they are $250 at zipzoomfly.com and you get the case, mobo, power supply, and cables for this price. they have free fedex 2day shipping too...check it out

Why teh oh noes for Soltek? I've got that very board and it blows me away. I got mine for $70 but even at $86 it's a steal.

I like my Chaintech board, too, but I hear SATA installs on it are not fun, and it never has really had working Cool n' Quiet.

I'd do the simple thing and go with an ECS 755-A2. SiS 755 chipset, solid performer, rock bottom price, working Cool&Quiet.

On the chaintech VNF3-250 Cool & quiet works fine with the latest bios but only if you use 1 stick of ram, from experience 2 stick = lock up,1 stick all is fine.
